Custom Domain Setup
Every author account gets a dedicated training URL on e-learningcourses.com. You choose the name during registration and it cannot be changed from within the platform.
Your training URL
During registration you fill in a Domain name field. Whatever you enter becomes your subdomain:
{your-name}.e-learningcourses.com
For example, entering acme gives you https://acme.e-learningcourses.com/. Share this URL with your learners — it is the only address they need to log in and access their courses.
Name rules
- Lowercase letters (
a–z), digits (0–9), and hyphens (-) only. - Cannot start or end with a hyphen.
- Maximum 63 characters.
- Must be unique — no two accounts can share the same name.
Using your own domain
If you prefer learners to reach your training through your own domain — for example training.acme.com — add a CNAME record with your DNS registrar pointing that subdomain to your e-learningcourses.com address:
training.acme.com → CNAME → {your-name}.e-learningcourses.com
Once DNS propagates, traffic to your custom domain resolves to your training portal automatically — no further configuration is needed on our side.
Log in to the provider where you manage your domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Network Solutions, etc.) and look for the option to add a DNS or CNAME record. If you're unsure how, search your registrar's help center for "add CNAME record".
After saving the CNAME record, it can take up to 48 hours to propagate. If your custom domain doesn't resolve right away, wait before assuming something went wrong.
Changing your subdomain
Your subdomain cannot be changed from within the platform. If you need to rename it, contact support with your current subdomain and the new name you'd like. Note that any bookmarks or links your learners have saved will stop working after a rename.
