Settings

The Settings tab controls the group's identity, membership cap, and the welcome email sent to group administrators.

Name

The display name shown throughout the platform — in reports, user lists, and the package Groups tab. Choose something that clearly identifies who the group represents (for example a company name, department, or cohort).

Supplier Number

An optional identifier for linking this group to an external supplier record. Used when your organization tracks vendors by a reference number in a procurement or ERP system. Leave blank if not applicable.

Limit

Sets a maximum number of active users allowed in this group. Check Unlimited to remove the cap. When a limit is in place, attempts to add users beyond the limit will be blocked until someone is removed or the limit is raised.

Hide Learner Assignments

Check Hide Learner Assignments when this group's members should not see or take its courses. While it is on, the group's learners:

  • no longer see its courses on their dashboard or in My Courses;
  • cannot launch them, even from a saved link;
  • do not receive package reminder emails for them.

Progress and reports are kept, and learners who have the same course through another group can still take it. Uncheck the option to make the courses visible again.

Examples
  • Retiring a group — a supplier contract ends, but you still need its training history for audits. Its learners can no longer see or launch the courses, and you keep all their completion data and reports.

Admin Email Text

The rich-text body of the notification email sent to a user when they are assigned as a group administrator. Use it to introduce the platform, explain the administrator's responsibilities, and share any organization-specific instructions.

tip

Include a direct link to the platform's login page and a contact address in the Admin Email Text so new administrators know where to go and who to ask for help.
